Default 29'-33' Suggestions

Going to purchase my 1st performance boat next season. Trying to do my homework now. The boat will be used primarily at LOTO and Pomme and Perry. I have looked at a couple WellCraft Scarab 29's and like the twin small blocks. Any other suggestions? Looking to spend low to mid 30's

Contact MReedy on here. One of his friends is selling a 30 (?) Scarab that fits your criteria. The boat is located in the Quad Cities and is a fresh water boat.

It really depends on what you are going to do with it. I love my Bullet at The Ozarks but I don't tow it. Your tow vehicle could limit your choices. The Scarabs are a nice choice and the small blocks could be economical...if driven sensibly or you could be horribly disappointed in the performance. Get the biggest one you can if you want to run at LOTO on the weekends!

Agreed, bigger the boat you can get on the lake the more enjoyable it will be in my opinion.

depends on how you use the boat. i know when we moved from my 23' islander to the cafe, enjoyment has gone way down. the kids liked tubing & other activities could do behind the baja but cant behind the cig. was much easier to go & take the baja to different lakes without much concern, no so w/ the cig.

If you are mainly going to be taking weekend trips to the LOTO and you keep you boat there, depending on where you stay you will need a 30+ ft boat. Tubing and everything is great I know how to do it better then most but if your looking to upgrade for the lake i think your tubing days are over.

I'm not sure if my tubing days are over yet! Kids are still young. I have the need for speed but they may want to play a little still. Need to think about this. I guess thats why I'm gathering info now. Have a 20' bow rider now and was going to upgrade next year. Sort of to fit the lake but also for the performance end too.

Good point. Kids are young still and may want to play more than I do. I definitely have the need for speed. Have a 20' bow rider now and was going to upgrade next year for the lake and the performance. I guess thats why i'm gathering info now.
