Default Random OSO thoughts

Soooooooooo, I'm sitting here ripped off my azz on pain meds from getting 2 wisdom teeth pulled and waiting for the Mecum auction to start; I decided to just put some stuff out there out of bordom:

While I think the technology is great, its seems a bit unreal that Merc gets $300K for a pair of 1300s. That just seems like an awful lot of money of that mass amount of parts and pieces, regardless of what they do. God bless those of you that can play at that level!

JMHO, but the Red multi-shade Mystic isn't that great of a looking boat. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to own the thing, but the lines of that boat aren't as atractive to me as some of the skaters, MTIs and Nortechs out there.

Speaking of Skaters, the guy from Michigan (Ron) has the best looking boat I've ever seen in that gold cat he built! Bravo!

Another thing about a Skater and the guy from Michigan: He also has a 48 V thats powered by 700s (1400 total) and I read somewhere that the boat ran over 100 mph. I think its astounding that a near 50' boat can go that fast with such modest power (for the boat). Bravo again!

I jusr read a thread about Ocean Performance. Its so nice to see a group of people who go the extra mile for not only their customers, but their own success. Bravo!

I saw a thread about the price of some of the used boats out there. Every so often, a decent deal comes up by I agree by saying that most of the numbers seem high and in some cases stupid-high. I'm amazed that a 15 year-old flat bottom TG can still bring $125K.

Any news on the thieves?

I was wondering why the Jax poker run seemed like it wasn't what it used to be. Is it just perception?

Gotta go................

I would say unless a flatbottom TG was sitting on a Myco made of 24K gold than it isn't going to sell for 125k.

The 1300s do come with the M8 drives for 300k though. I wonder if Merc has a credit program to swap the 8's for 6's....

Especially considering its just another motor with the same kind of parts as any other one. Gas in, gas out...hahahaha
Probably $290K profit per pair
