does my 1996 mercruiser 7.4 mpi/efi have special injectors or just auto and anyone know were a good place to buy them is , and does anyone knnow if they will clean up after having water in my fuel Thank James

Pull the injectors and have them cleaned and flow tested. Merc used Keihin injectors on some motors. Its basically a Japanese injector (80% owned by Honda). Cost about $20-25 per injector for the cleaning service. You'll know whether you need to spend money on replacements after you get them cleaned and flow tested.

IF you need to replace the injectors Merc will rob you blind ($160-200 each). There are other sources for the injectors at a more reasonable price. They range from $60-95 a piece (rough ball park figure).
