Default Throttle Linkage clearance issue

I have a 1999 502 MPI motor, needed to go with taller valve covers to work with the new roller rockers. I am having clearance issues with the cable connection to the T body (hitting the valve cover bolt) There is not much space between intake and valve cover. Anyone have a cure for this , thanks in advance.

The only aftermarket ones that I have found to be tall enough to clear any rocker setup and short enough to clear the throttle body are the 2 piece Eickert covers that CP Performance sells. You can probably get away with the stockers if you remove the drip tabs. Do you have the stock heads or aftermarket heads?

I've had .610 lift cams under stock valve covers with roller rockers. You need to grind off the drip tabs and may need to radius the corners of a couple intake rocker arms to clear the baffles.

I have the Imco tall valve covers on mine and had to file a notch in the bolt boss that the long valve cover bolt goes through. Luckily the throttle body and the arrestor hides this mod. Works just fine now.
