Default Eliminator rubrail replacement, what to get?

Wanting to replace the rubrail on my 22 Daytona. The original was anodized red aluminum with rubber insert but i'm wanting to use the newer style that is white plastic and just screws on. I can find it but only for the "shoe box lid" type of hull and deck joint. Eliminator is a "butt" joint and a smooth seam. Anybody know where to get the rub rail i'm talking about??

Taco does not seem to have what Eliminator uses on thier boats. I have tried to contact Eliminator several times to find out what they use but I think they don't want to tell me. At least they never call back?? The problem is the hull and deck joint! Eliminator don't use a "shoebox lid" type of joint. Most rubrails are thicker on the bottom to compensate for that overlap joint.

I bought both the plastic and the stainless insert from these guys! Here is a pic of me installing it!

Try Barbour Plastics in Brockton, Mass, they supplied rubrail for a lot of different boat builders

you could probably take a belt sander and reshape back of rub rail to fit your boat. any little wavy imperfections will be on the bottom on back of the rail.

also look around the abandoned big boats in local yards. might find something you can shorten for your boat, or at least ideas for rail types.
