Default Can anybody insure a Skater 24 in So. Fla?

I am about to purchase a 1989 Skater 24 with twin Mercury 2.5 280 horsepower motors. Nobody will insure it. I called about 15 of the major high performance boat companies out there. I think this is rediculous. I really don't know what to do. Can somebody help me?

Thanks

Ronnie

Call Stacey at Wakezone. I am pretty sure you will need to fill out a boating resume. They will want to see you have experience before insuring you on a 100mph boat.

Good luck, that's why we don't have a cat anymore, especially in FL!

Stacey at Wakezone can't do it and Allstate does not insure any high performance boats that go over 75MPH. However I hear that if I can get a 28 I have more options. I'm swinging towards that route.

Trust me they are not stupid Once you give them the engine vin numbers they plug them into there little formula and calculate top speed. ven if I keep it under 75 it still has the ability to go over.
