Aquapalooza is on Lake Mendota over at picnic point this Sunday. I think we are coming back up from the Mississippi saturday night to go out there on Sunday. Any one else going?

Taking the family and extended family on our Mirage. Sounds like a good time. Hope the water is ok for swimming. What are the water levels like on Monona and Waubesa? This is the first time on these lakes. Any advise? Driving up tonight and staying at Skipper Buds. Best Swimming spots, bars that have bands you can dock too, etc.

I'll be there in my sleekcraft, if you see me say hi!

Monona and Waubesa were pretty low last weekend, but all the rain this week has REALLY helped things out, we are now above minimum levels!!! The lake was the lowest it's been my entire life this year, but now everything is gravy again. We got about 6" or so in the last week!
Best spots:
Waubesa:
Anywhere on Lake Waubesa is awesome for swimming/relaxing.
Christi's Landing. Excellent bar/Food/party, kind of crappy docks, good luck tying up they're really high.
Beach House: Small town restaurant/bar with excellent seafood. Docks.
Green Lantern: Old people. Decent food though.
Between Lake Monona and Lake Waubesa:
Gilligan's Island. A little sandbar on the yahara, you can't miss it as people are always tied up there. Sometimes it's great, sometimes it's filled with douchebag bro-machines out on their daddy's ski nautique with giant subwoofers. Depends on the day.
Bourbon St. Grill: On the yahara near Lake Monona. Good food, but service takes FOREVER. Expect at least an hour before you get to eat after you order.
Lake Monona:
Olbrich Beach area has some nice sandy areas to beach your boat. Middle of the lake is great. Edges are all gross. There really isn't much of anything on this lake, other than a great view.
Lake Mendota:
HUGE. CHOPPY. BLEH. Good for you offshore guys in really deep V's.

How about you?
I hit some of that on the way to and from the Brewers game. Hopefully next weekend will be better!

If I go out now I have the boys boat. They usually dump it in at the Buckhorn because it is closer to the house and then they take it to the Turtle and leave it there for the weekend. They are out at Alcatraz most of the time.
The Tiki bar...thats the one at Northern Bay? I loaded the boat up there onece, pretty decent ramp, a little steep but nice.
I loaded some pics from photobucket today. New emblems coming from Darren Webb for the project
