Default Running a bravo now..new prop thoughts..

I have a 26 bravo on my 24 outlaw now. I have a high x on the boat..so three blades are out of the question. I love how my bravo makes the boat run..but I HATE the way it makes the boat run over waves. It throws the boat to the left (port side) everytime the boat comes out of the water, I believe due to the torque from the prop. What about a rev 4 or..a mach..I know they dont make mach props anymore, but I can probably still find one. Any thoughts..

How fast are you running? I had the same problem with a Hydro-Motive above 80. What do you consider a high X, my prop shaft is 4" below my pad. How much bow lift are you getting, I found that I need to run more trim to calm the boat down. I also added a nose cone which really settled my boat down at higher speeds and allows me to run more trim.

Labbing your existing propeller with the propper recipe will change the boats manners.
Is there room to grow the rpm level?

We do have Revolution 4 props for testing.

The x has been raised 3.5 inches. My boat runs 70 at 4900 rpm. I only have about 300 rpm to grow, if any at all. I have a ton of bow lift right now..when Im running wide open, with a little trim input I carry the nose alot..to the point where like only 10 inches of the boat is in the water. If I trim the boat anymore, it gets to the point where if ya hit a slight wave it gets squirlly..

Lab Finish your propeller.
Or, you can test a Revolution 4 propeller from us or tell us the propeller you wish to test.

Over the years I was able to compare a few of the props that have been mentioned. At the time my Outlaw had a 454mag with the addition of headers and a different carb and intake. I have been a huge Mach fan for many years and at that time ran a 14.5 X 24 Sterndriver. My Mach had been tuned a bit by a shop in Nevada and I was very pleased with every aspect of its performance. I tried a 24 bravo and a 23 revolution that some other 24 Outlaws were running. As best as I can remember (approx 8 years ago) both props performed very similar. It seemed like the bravo had a bit more bow lift than the revolution and they were nearly identical in top speed and cruising.

In my opinion....I would let bblades work on your prop to fine tune it for your application. I run a labbed 28 bravo with my current engine and love it.

Best of luck!
