im curious if anyone is writing loans on any sort of performance boats(IE: Cats, twin engine's)

im looking to buy mid spring nxt yr and from what i have read around on here.....its pretty tough to get a loan on anything with a 496HO or bigger. ideally im looking at a 26-28ft Eliminator w/ a single 525.

what did you guys do to qualify??? credit scores??? banks you used???

Try Key bank. If you live in a state where they have a branch, they will loan. They don't care about hp,cat, or 5 engines,as long as the boat books out. They were extremely helpful on my boat purchase last winter.

Great advice on Key. I think you could also try Essex credit / Bank of the West. They will most likely want 50% down. I think most lenders will be looking for 720+ credit scores. Then again, if you are talking about next spring, may be new lenders then too.

US Bank will lend up to $150K on any kind of boat regardless of what the boat has in it. They only catch is that there has to be a staffed branch in your state to write the loan.

Mine is through US Bank. Will loan 90% of NADA.

there isnt a US bank or a Key bank in Ga. maybe someone from Ga could give me some insight.

i currently have a savings acct with Delta Community Credit union.....havent asked their terms or if they offer boat loans. thanks for all your help!!!!
