Congratulations to Stuart, Johnny, and the crew.....
My calculations put their speed at about 123 mph.........
Joe Imprescia messaged me that the fuel burn was 375 gallons so they carried over 100 gallons extra...which probably helped a bit in the rough stuff.....
Regardless of how or when this was set....that is an amazing job.....and a testament to Mercury's powerplants.

Remember when we wanted to put a huge sail on the Ark and try to do it in that big storm (you know the one with all the flooding) and you changed your mind because the monkeys were fighting with the zebras and God kept hollering down from the heavens that a sun dial wasn't an accurate timing instrument...especially with all the clouds and rain?
Those were the days.......
