I have 85 Cig Mistress. approx 480 hp from what I can compare to, no dyno..
so far what I have seen on average...
25P Mirage that boat came with (no power)
4500@60 gps
quicksilver 23P redone to 24P
[email protected] (best so far)
23 Mirage plus [email protected]
24 labbed cleavers [email protected]
I went to hydromotive since they are local and he said try 23P mirage for another baseline (not plus) then try his 23P 4 blades..
I wanna get engines to 5000-5100 all the time so I'm not lugging them, not necessarily looking for more MPH since I doubt there is more then a 63 in her... maybe a 64 on the right day...
any thoughts on a mitress with comparible power and what works??
I also had a friend that had a mistress that with approx 440hp went 63 mph also... so maybe with right prop there is a tad more with mine??
any ideas??? or is this about as good as it gets?? engines are 460CI Merlin heads, Merc 420 cams, Holley single plane intakes 800 holleys stainless marine exhaust
my buddy dynored his engines on his Mistress made 480 @4900 and we both spin the 24's identical and same speeds.. thats how I came up with hp guess...

Tried 23 Mirage standard this weekend
2 oot chop, got 63.8
Port engine 5100
Stbd engine 4800
Trying to see why one engine is a tad less, may be in the props since they were not mine, could have one spin better then other, I am gonna toss the 24's back on and see how she does now that I fixed ignition issue and see if they are equal, go from there..

My company has software developed for powering prediction of high-performance boats. I ran the parameters for your setup. The predictions are dead on the money for my Mistress with V's, like literally within 10 RPM. With the drive and propeller parameters changed for yours, it should be very close.
I don't feel your motors are delivering what you think. I think you are producing only around 400 hp per side. That's what it should take to spin the 25's up to 5000 rpm, and go 65 mph. I think if you could produce 480, you'd be running 68-69 at 5200. With those props.

That was most likely 480 hp at the motor, probably corrected and not prop HP. Are these TRS drives or Bravo retrofits. Trs trannys take more power than bravos. My 480hp corrected with marine wet exhaust is probably only 400-410 at te prop. Food for thought.

Seems like a lot of work (and wasted time) for 1 or 2 mph. You never mentioned mid range, cruising speed, or overall attitude of the boat with these different props...ultimately isn't that what you are after? I think you are asking a lot from just props.
You mentioned you want the engines to turn 5000+ so you are not lugging them, you had that with the 24 cleavers but you lost speed. Something has to give, without adding HP
So what you want is higher RPMs but to also get the max top speed you have seen, if you get to that point your cruising speed will suffer. What you are asking for ultimately takes more HP, not more prop work.
