Default 28 Brave value?

I am looking at a 91 28 Brave that has been completely restored. Motors are low hour 496 strokers, hyd steering, B1s,...what's it worth? I love the boat and trying to make a deal but we are $10k apart on price. Im not trying to lowball the guy by any means but I don't want to be completely upside down in it from the minute I hook up to the trailer.

Not enough information. What do you mean by completely restored? Cause a lot of people have different definitions of what they consider a restoration. Was the transom replaced? Were the bulkheads replaced? Has it been repainted, if so by who and when? 496 strokers? Were they 454's at one point? How far are they bored over? Are they lower hours on rebuild or new? Closed cooling? What kind of internals? Has the electrical wiring been redone and if so by whom? What shape is the interior in? Whats the trailer like? What does it need? They all need something.

Mint.........with newer paint job, newer transon and transom assemblies, newer outdrives, newer power less than 150 hours, closed cooling, hydraulic steering, newer interior, nice trailer, basically mint and needs absolutely nothing I think is worth $50K IMO. Start with that number and subtract what it cost to get it there and that is your number. Will cost more than that if you buy one for $25K and try to make it mint.

Yes, new transom, boat was completely stripped! bulkheads were good, exterior completely stripped and repainted, under 140hrs on 454s bored .060 over...not rebuilds. fresh water only, best of everything internals, complete interior is new, livorsi gauges, in all honesty...this boat needs absolutely NOTHING!

Im not brand loyal to anything ...looking for a good boat. There are alot of deals out there right now. The sutphen is a ton of boat for the money but I don't want blower motors. Only reason id buy a 35 cig is cause I've always wanted one. Realistically I will pry stay around 28' so I can still tow it with my truck and I have a budget I want to stay in so I can use my boat whenever I want.

You need a nice 20' sea ray bowrider for your family. I can cut you deal on my dads 94' signature. It's priced right lol

Nah...hate to take your inheritance away. You should ask your dad if you can borrow it so you can still get some boating in this summer...

I think my inheritence lays in the form of acreage, vacation properties, and barns full of green tractors.

With that sed ill ask him what he'll take for the sea ray for ya
