Default Best ramp and best trailer parking on winni

As title states, looking to bring my scarab to winni. Looking for a nice well maintained ramp and ample parking for the tow rig. Not concerned about costs but looking for a nice concrete ramp with a rather shallow entry if possible!

Thanks
Jim

I've used the one at Alton Bay a few times. The ramp is a little steep but it works fine. There's room for good size trailers there also. I think the last time I was there it cost me $40 to park my truck and trailer for the day. "My trailer is for a 32' boat". I think my buddy paid $25 or $30 to launch and park his 25 Outlaw. Get there early because it fills up quick.

I am actually up at squam lake for the week with the little boat and since it looks like it may be a wet one today I think I will go check these places out. Thanks guys!!

Let me know if anyone else can think of any?

I am guessing you haven't used this place in a while because they have been closed to the public for 3 years!

Talked to the owner today and apparently the town of gilford closed them due to a zoning violation. Now you have to be staying at the inn to use the launch!

Checked out west Alton bay marina & downings landing

Both have decent launches and can accommodate tri-axle trailers + tow rigs. The launch at west Alton marina looks a little better so I might try them!

We used to use Downing s Landing in Alton for years. I tried West Alton Marina a few times but their ramp did not work well for long trailers. -Got hung up.

My apology on this !
I had been a guest not too long ago and didn't realize some of my buddies must have been sliding under the radar on ramp/parking here then.

No biggie! Not like I was driving around With the boat looking for a place to launch. That was the whole purpose of the scouting mission!

Funny you say that, I would have thought the exact opposite. The entrance into downings drops off real quick so it appears the front cross beam on the trailer might get hung up!

I guessing will have to just try it and see. Maybe in the next couple weeks!

Thanks
