Default 5.7 Thottle Body Injection

Can someone in the know please tell me if there is any differance between a Marine 5.7 TBI and a Automotive 5.7 TBI?

Thank you,
Cliff

What, exactly, are you asking?
Are you asking if you can install an automotive TBI system on a boat? Are you looking to replace a piece or part?

Yes, there are differences between each and every TBI system available, whether they are automotive or marine, and a few parts can be considered interchangeable, but the electronic controllers are not the same.

You're going to have to elaborate what you are planning and then you may get some kind of decent answer.

As it is, your answer is as follows:

Yes, no, and maybe.

My current TBI, (1996) needs to be replaced and was told my marine dealer mechanic to get a 1996 up TBI from a truck and was just wondering if this correct.

I think I have EXACTLY what you need and its almost brand new (maybe 30 hours of use). 1998 TBI off a 5.0 litre. Its been sitting in my garage for over 10 years. Im willing to let it go pretty cheap as I will never need it...
Is this what you need to replace?
