Default 27 daytona prop advice

Hi, just bought this 05 daytona and it came with a 27 pitch hydromotive p5x. bought the boat @500 ft.above sea level. I boat @ 3500 ft. At sea level the prop turned 5000 or 5100. I turn it at altitude 4800. I put a shortie on it when i brought home. maybee the shortie helped keep the rpm and speed loss less? It did 85 at 500ft. and now does 80 at 3500ft. My question is, i thought going to one of my labbed 4 blade props (28 bravo 1, bent to a 29) would make the boat faster? I gained 1 mph at 5000 rpm. I have a 1/2 spacer on the 2" shortie and it takes off ok with the 4 blade but i thought it would be faster. With the p5x, the boat seamed to take the waves not as good as the bravo 1. Maybee that was just in my head but the bravo 1 seemed smoother just not faster. any ideas on a prop?

I would think the P5 would be a much better choice than the P5X. P5x is a bow lifter, not typically what you want on a cat. A Maximus will run OK on a cat and even better if it is tweeked for it.

Some cats do like a little bow lift ,just to let some more air in to lift the boat ,depending on a lot more things ,but by looking at the speed it might not hurt to have a little bow lift build in the prop just to help
