Default stainless marine exhaust reversion

just finished my motor and im getting some reversion problems. i have narrowed it down to three things bad internal flappers, cam over lap but i dont think this is the problem and bad gaskets at the riser / manifold joint.

the motor is a sbc 8.1 com procharged with rhs proline heads cast 2.02 1.6 valves and stainless marine long risers. here is a link to the cam specs
http://www.cranecams.com/product/car...detail&p=23975

i think its the bad gasket at the joint causing a vac effect.

please someone help.

How long are your risers and how much of a drop do they have?

Stainless marine uses dry joint, you have a jumper hose from manifold to riser. could the water be coming from and intake leak?

yeah man there is no where for water to leak unless your manifold or riser is cracked internally

no intake leak and no internal riser leak. ordered the new gaskets for the dry joint and will see if that does the trick stainless marine noted to me that having that leak at the dry joint is causing a vac which is pulling the water back up plus my cam over lap is casuing it to time to idle up some more.

I know this post is old but I was wondering if the gasket solved the reversion?

Plus I changed to a low profile t stat housing and the water running through the headers was to cold causibg condinsation. Went back to the factory housing.
