Default how much is this gonna cost me!!? broke again

think this happened when i got caught up in a tight area on the trailer dropped it off the edge of a drive think the nose cone bottomed out on the concrete. didnt realize it happened and ive been out twice since. trim gauge quit working since it happened.

so what exactly is it thats broke. can i pull the outdrive and transom assembly and have it welded. does it need to be fixed immediatly?

pic is hard to see but did you take a chunk out of the helmet? Thats what it looks like to me. if so you need to replace it becasue if it goes there is a chance the rest of your drive will be at the bottom of the lake.

The bell housing/helmet broke off at the hinge pin.
It's a couple hour job if you have the tools.
Remove drive. Remove 2 hinge pins. Undo bellows/shift bellows and cable. Replace with new housing. Your trim switch will work after you get this replaced.

Do not take this on the water like this. Like said above, drive might sink to bottom along with the boat. Water comes in fast when no drive shaft is in the gimbal bearing.

Had one break like that on my old chaparral I had . the drive will NOT sink to the bottom because the trim cylinder's will prevent that but when the bellow pulls off which it will the boat will go to the bottom . been there !!

Just got my boat back from the marina from the exact issue and it cost me 3800.00. I also replaced the gimbal ring though.
