I remember reading somewhere that your not supposed to shift the BW transmissions into gear above 1000 RPM's but if I set my engines to idle any lower then 1200-1400 then when I shift it into gear the RPM's drop to 500 and the engine stalls. If I blip the throttle then it stabilizes but idles at 700 in gear.
Having to blip the throttle makes it difficult to maneuver around the docks, what are my options?
Thanks
Jim

i have the same problem on occassion. i know its my carbs. i need to fiddle w the idle adjustment again. They seem to be finicky w/ weather conditions. Always makes for fun docking when half time im restarting engines.

I locked my timing out @ 35* and my engines never idled better 600RPM. And I have aggressive solid roller cams. Before I was always fiddling with the carbs they ran totally different hot/cold.

Thanks everyone!
I will definetly check the idle circuit next time I am out. The only reason I didn't initially is because everything was perfect last year! The only variable I changed this winter was having both trannies rebuilt. I was thinking that maybe now that their all fresh parts that they were running a bit tighter which is causing the issue!
