I just noticed this weekened when i took my prop of that drive oil is leaking out from my lower unit its not behind the prop shaft but to the out side of the prop shaft near the lower drain plug what do you think it mint be the drive is a 1999 bravo1 it dosent make any nosies and works fine new problem thanks

There is an oring in front of the bearing carrier that the propshaft comes through. That area usually seals and does not leak after time, unless there is corrosion in that area.
I would pressure test the drive to 10-15psi and take a look with a flash light, see if you can see a trail from the oil. I could be from above where the upper and lower meet. It could drip down into the exhaust area and leak out to the area your are speaking of.
