Rio Tinto moved their in-pit crusher in the Bingham Canyon mine near Salt Lake City about a mile somewhere around 2001 - 2002. The crusher itself is several stories high, and at the time was supposed to be the heaviest thing ever moved. It didnt move 40+ miles though.
