Hey guys...
Just picked up a Sunsation 24x7 Rocket, with a 454 full roller motor...
Previous owner didnt mention what oil viscosity he used, so curious as to what would be best to run?
I was leaning towards Red Line or Mobile 1 15w50??
Also, whats the best Red Line oil for my Bravo 1 drive?? The normal 75W90 GL-5 Gear Oil or I heard of some ppl running the "Lightweight ShockProof" (Film thickness greater than an SAE 75W140, yet low fluid friction like 80W gear oil or 30W motor oil)
Thanks for the advice guys!!

I ran Mobil 1 15w50 for 5 years. My engines used oil but nothing that I thought was outrageous.
I switched to Mobil 1 20w50 V-Twin this summer and I have not added a drop of oil. Oil pressure is exceptional after a hard run. (not that it was bad) I am thoroughly impressed. Can't go wrong with Mobil 1. I run it in everything.
I run Redline HS in my old TRS's. It has a film thickness greater than a 75w250. I am sure I am losing some mph because it is so thick. I have been thinking about changing to Amsoil Severe gear 75w90.

I recommend Amsoil Dominator 15w-50 for ultimate engine protection. Depending on water temps and horsepower the Amsoil Severe Gear 75w110 over the 75w90. I'm pushing 700hp and I buzz my motor to 6000rpm, my engine and drive oils are clean at the end of each season, almost hate to change them. I am running the Donaldson P550832 2qt filter with a rare earth magnet attached to the bottom.
