Default 440 ho baja force 250 trs prop choice?

i just bought my first boat, a 25 foot baja force 250 with a TRS outdrive and 440hp merc cyclone 454. the boat came with a 3 blade 21 pitch, will that be enough prop? what kin of speed numbers should i see out of it? the prop has some dings in it and will need reworked anyway

Wont know anything until you run the boat with that prop, once you do that record the rpm's at wot and the speeds at the different rpm's once you do that you will have a better idea of where to go from there..

Just ran some numbers just for the heck of it. With a weight of approx 5500 lbs, and the 1.5 ratio, a 23 pitch prop should work well with calculated speed of 62 mph. I'd try a 23 Mirage.

-Cool engine package, was it factory installed?

Guy I bought the boat from had a knock in the original 454 then bought this engine off Craigslist and threw it in its spot.
