Default Scarab 26.9 502MPI

All,

Hoping someone can advise me the best prop for my 1996 26.9 Scarab 502MPI Bravo 1. Currently running 23 pitch 3 blade. Top speed not exceeding 60MPH at 4900RPM. Merc Prop selector identifies this power train should give results of 71MPH????
Motor is fresh this season. Running perfect just can not get identified top speeds out of it.

Thanks,

Your running pretty officiant. 71 is out of reach. 3 more mph per Lab Finishing is a option.

Brett,

Thank you for the insight. After a better understanding of the slip percentage, I grasp that we are running efficiently.

Thank you,

Brett,

Cost to 'lab" finish my present prop or go to a Mirage Plus lab finished...what do think and give me an idea of costs.

Thanks,

Chris

The cost to Lab Finish your propeller is $376.
You can supply us with a propeller or we can supply the casting and the charge is then $911.

Please let us know any other questions you may have.

Brett,

What prop is best for my boat...Enertia or Mirage Plus.. I know I need to get additional bow lift since my boat is not a step hull. Guidance please before I go spending money.

Thanks,

Chris

Either propeller will work.
But, from a Labbing standpoint, the Mirage Plus is the better idea.

Try a Revolution 4, I have 97 model with a 502 hp that will run 69 on gps with 23 rev4. Prop sticks and comes out of the hole great.

First check X dimension. Prop might be much to deep...
Is it the one with pad bottem or Deep V?

Deep V top speed is normal with 502MPI in factory setup & Mirage prop.
Sold a new one to a customer in 1997 and did the same...
