Default Baja h2x question?

Is their another fuel filter other than the screw in water separator/ filter on a 7.4 mpi? And if so where is it located? I'm just over my 20 ht break in on my rebuild and just feel like something isn't right, the motor runs smooth but doesn't have any punch between 1/2- full throttle I'm seeing between 4100 and 4300 rpm at wot I have the stock mirage plus 23p. Wondering if I'm just over propped or if something else is a miss? Best speed I've seen with driver and 1/2 tank of fuel is 60-61 on the speedo and boat has a hard time getting over 55 with a guest and a cooler. Is this all the 7.4 mpi has or is ther some more to squeeze out of her?

Thanks

Larry

I have a 99 H2X 7.4 best I have on the best day and good conditions was 64,, but 99.9 percent of the time 62 is it... I also run a 23 mirage. Not sure about your 55 with guest and cooler,,, throw GPS in to check speedo? you should be seeing more than 55 top.

Going to check the timing and see the thing that has me feeling like something may be up is that it has decent midrange response to 3/4 throttle then no increase in rpms from 3/4 to wfo. When I reved it up in neutral it will rec right to the rev limiter. I've never run this boat before so I don't have a good idea of a true baseline. Just trying to get it right.

check fuel pressure almost sounds like a bad regulator should have around 55 psi being injected
