1st ? does anyone recommend someone who sells 502 shortblocks. if possible in s.fla
2nd ? Can i use my Bob m .6 lift cam from my blown up 454 in the 502, and will the push rods length change bc instead of 781 heads will prob be w 188 or hopefully better heads.
3rd ? heads, i know the 188 are most common but what iron head can i get to up my compression, i see the zz502 uses 110cc aluminum heads and makes 50+ more hp
Thanks again Adam

I dont know what year or should I say Generation, your old 454 was. But if it was a mark iv, and you go to a gen vi block, the cam wont work, physically.
Same goes for the heads. Most BBC iron heads are gonna be close in chamber size, but if its a new build, use the correct piston to get the compression you want.
Sounds like you puked your 454 shortblock. if your on a tight budget, I'd say get a replacement block for what you had. This way your old parts will work, oil pan, heads, so on and so forth, or at minimum keep the same generation. Like if you had a mark iv 454, getting a mark iv style bowtie 502 block wouldnt be bad.

Mild- i had a gen 6 454 that cracked, the 781 heads also came apart, seat fell out and destroyed them.
Im going to go with dart iron heads unless a marine long block pops up worth while. If i go with stroked out 454 or a 502 what is best way to fig out which pistons to choose? I had a slight forged dome on last build.
Looking for a real 450 plus motor.
