IAC problems
New to forum & I understand this has been talked about ALOT, but here it goes anyway! 496+mercruiser = melted IAC valve!!
Just the nature of the beast? what im hearing anyway, have a 02 29OL w/ 6.2's that run's flawless!! but you all know whats next, moved up to 40OL w/ trip 496's & 30 minutes in 2 yes 2 IAC's down! Go Ahead now that's my luck!! So now extra's in boat, any comments on this?

Yes, very common...you can buy those iac's at oreilly auto for much less then what merc wants for them. They can even cross the merc part# over for you?... Btw.... Your idling too damn much, those trips are meant to be ran like mf's! lol
