Removing bilge paint from screws?

Removing bilge paint from screws?
Can someone give me some advice as to what kind of solvent I can use to soak all my screws in to remove the paint from when the last owner painted the bilge? I have removed everything from my boat and I'm getting close to start putting things back in. I wouldn't mind re-using the old screws if I can find and easy way to remove the paint on them. They are all in a can now - it would be nice if I could just pour some solvent in there and let em soak.
