Default Merc I/O Housing Anti Barnacle Paint

I just pulled the bell housing off the I/O to replace the main bellows. The barnacle accumulation is increditable. Does anyone know a good way to reduce this problem I tried Interlux Trilux on the I/O this year and after a few weeks in the water there are already numerous barnacles.

The bay water temperature here have been high this year, low 80's. Boat has 3 feet of water under it at low tide

With everything apart I would like to find a magic cure.

You need that bottom paint that falls off under way. It eventually needs to be repainted obviously, but my friend has it on his 68ft cruiser and when he pulled it the other day the whole thing looked brand new!!!

I neglected to mention that the prop had West Marine "TEMPO" brand, spray clear coat and after a few weeks with was 100 % covered with baby barnacles. The other clear brand "Classic" has more active ingredients but I ran out of it.

Last week when the tempature here on Manhasset Bay, NY read read 86 degrees on my speed/depth/temp unit I thought it was out of calibraton. Brought out my Fluke 52 electronic unit and it read the same!!!
