Question From Baja 240 to 33 Sonic... Questions...

So right now I have an 87 Baja 240 Sport with a Tyler Crockett 502 making 610 HP, new Bravo drive and a great sound system.

I just seen this boat come up for sale semi close to me:

1985 Sonic 33 RS
http://detroit.craigslist.org/mcb/boa/3266950038.html

Can you tell much how much worse fuel consumption will be from MY said Baja to this Sonic?

Thanks a lot guys,

Jack

If your worried about fuel get out of boating lol

I would say the fuel is least of concerns, more about hull and maintainence issues, if you do your own work it will not be bad, but if you have to pay someone to do everything then maybe go newer so the issues are less...

VS

33 ft boat with stock 454 twins

Rough guess, 30% more. Could be double if you run WFO everywhere.

I say go for it. If you don't like the fuel consumption you can always sell it and go back to a single.

You'll never know unless you just do it.

And BTW, fuel consumption is all in the trim......................................the trim of the throttle position.

That boat was for sale in Holland for alot more money several months ago. Maybe someone is dumping something that has a major problem.

That boat will give you about 1.2 mpg and 60 MPH top speed. If you're happy with that go for it.
