Default 525s with manifolds

I know this subject has been beaten to death. I've done every search imaginable and have read extensively on the 525s with headers. The cracking, the internal problems created from it. I've posted a thread in the fountain forum a few months back. My dream boat is a 38 lightning staggered. Hence my 525 questions.

I'm curious if anyone has done the manifolds on thier 525s?

The stainless marine ones and redrilled heads?
Read of ke manifolds, can't seem to find them if they are a direct replacement.

When I buy the boat I'm not willing to drop a motor of some exhaust. Reliability beats bling!!

I understand the idea of pressure checking the headers and am ok with that except what if I pressure check them and put them on and they crack very next run. Simply put just checking them only insures not currently failed not protection for impending failure.

I want a 2007 or newer when I buy.

So anyone with manifolds on the 525?

Saw that pic, it's on their website. Just curious if any members have switched exhausts and what they went with. Also if they are problem free now.

Doesn't Cmi make a replacement now? Built to there own specs not mercury's. I believe stellings makes a 525 replacement header as well.

I've seen Stainless marine on a set of 600sci's. Much lighter and perform well. These are on a Doug Wright 40 cat
