Default B&M 250 supercharger 502 454 efi

Anyone have any experience with these set ups. I ran across one here locally. It looks like a blower bolted to a stock type upper mpi manifold. Good/bad? It comes with everything even and ECM and fuel pump. What kind of power and reliability compaired to a procharger?

Thanks

i have seen them but never worked on one,,you will get more usable power out of a pro charger and better fuel economy..

The 250s are small and spin fast creating heat. They are not the most durable superchargers either. On a 502 you would be better off with a 671 setup. Although if you dont have the hatch space for a 671 or 871 the 250 would be an OK option I guess.

BTW, merc used them stock.

I put a weiand 256 (same basic size as B&M 250) on my 509,ran the stock pulleys (5lbs of boost) and picked up 12mph (70 to 82) with no other changes except changing prop to match the new power..
Maybe thats not enough for some guys but for the cost I thought it worked just fine and none of the pain in the ass tuning of a procharger..
