A nice thank you from Ft Myers Offshore Scholarship recipient
Below you will find a nice "thank you" letter from Abbigael Tyler, one of 6 students who were awarded FMO Student Scholarships this past May. From time to time we receive letters like this and I feel it is important to share this with you as it is our FMO membership that funds these scholarships.
So when you pay your annual FMO club membership be it social, boaters, charter or corporate, buy a club tee shirt or hat, buy a 50/50 raffle ticket or participate in our 2 annual fundraisers, it all goes towards our scholarship fund and helping young students like Abbigael. It is good to know that our group is making a positive difference in so many young peoples lives. Since we started our scholarship program in 2009, FMO has awarded 21 - $ 1,500.00 scholarships in Lee and Collier Counties. An accomplishment that we can all be proud of.

Dear Members of Ft. Myers Offshore Inc,
I am writing to thank you for your generous $ 1,500 Ft. Myers Offshore Scholarship. I was very happy and appreciative to learn that I was selected as the recipient of your scholarship.
I am a Health Sciences pre-clinical major and plan to peruse a career in medicine from the University of Central Florida. I am a new freshman to the school, and plan to graduate in the spring of 2016. After graduation, I will attend medical school in hopes of becoming a Physicians Assistant. Thanks to you, I am one step closer to that goal.
By awarding me the Ft Myers Offshore Scholarship, you have lightened my financial burden which allows me to focus more on the most important aspect of school, learning. Your generosity has inspired me to help others and give back to the community. I hope one day I will be able to help students achieve their goals just as you have helped me.
