Default Sterling Buys Project Boat To Showcase 1700 Turbo Engines

Just in, http://speedonthewater.com/new-boats...bo-engine.html.

This will be intriguing to follow as the control over the progress of the boat rests in the hands of Sterling and TNT Custom Marine.

That is a sweet looking boat and is going to have some big power to match the looks, great platform for Sterling, TNT custom Marine and Skater. Thanks for posting Matt.

Wasn't that one of Ronnies (Flight Club) boats? I also wonder what Mike D’Anniballe did with his Red and White 700 HP Skater. Looking forward to following this one

That boat has a lot of logic for Sterling to work with.. JT already put up a huge #'s running that boat with a known HP and setup so the pedigree is there. Anything over and above that comes back to showcase the new power plants. Well, new power and whatever JT/TNT update in the rigging and props

I should hope a 36 ft cat with 3400 hp is ultra quick.

Is this going to be a company owned boat to experiment with engine life and rebuild durations ?
Can't imagine anyone needs to prove something about how fast it may go.

The plan is for it to be a company boat, yes, to both showcase the 1700s and see how they hold up over time.

Precisiondetails question on updates regarding the other 1700-powered Skater is the underlying reason why D'Anniballe says he decided to buy his own project boat for the engines. He has no control over how much or how little the other Skater is used, the events it gets taken to and so on.

So the project boat will be as much of a promotional vehicle as anything else.

I think Mike is planning on running some poker runs with it as more of a promotional boat.

Gary - which Skater are you referring to? Mike sold his Skater several years ago. Connie is keeping her 30' Skater (Mike's wife). I'm told they're going to be a two Skater house hold
