hey guys i thought id see what you guys are running with what setups and since my boat is all stock 272 with 502mpi with too much prop just makes sense to add power than change props
so post your gps speed with either setup or HP number and prop
thanks matt

I just sold my 01 272 Boss w/496HO. I ran a 22P Bravo 1 and was seeing 66-67 max and took a while to get there. I Had a 23P Mirage + but never ran it on the boat before i sold boat. Was hoping that would get me closer to 70.

Did you say it makes more sense to add power than change props? Must have a fat wallet bro.......
Mine is basically stock, just a few tweaks and add ons. Gil's, ECM reflash, add timing, shelled K&N, spinning Mirage + 23 with Bblades Baja reciepe (labbed).
She'll run 68 MPH anytime, a tick or two better in prime conditions.
What wheel are you spinning now at what speed/RPM?

26p the previous guy claimed 4800@62-63mph(gps) but he also included the stock mirage 23p so we will see in the spring

heres my plan this year no mods since just purchased the boat so no $$$ just a K&N filter, try both props in the spring and go from there
next winter might do cam,ecu tune, springs, porting of throttle body, intake and heads than the 4 blade 26p should be good
theres a guy locally running a 502mpi with K&N, cam, tune with that prop and says he loves it
keep the setups coming guys

Please let us know how the higher X works out. I have mostly heard that even though the 272 has such a low X, it needs to be that way to carry the bow.
