(Trust worthy/wont rape my pocket Marina)

Where in MI is a good Marina to take my Boat if i decided to, i have to replace the port side shift cable and re adjust the throttle cables not sure how hard the job is if i should take it on myself or just have a pro do it and not worry about it. (as well as DNA on the tilt/trim for the port side) anyone have a walk thru tips tricks ease of job on the cables? i have the 88 Baja force with twin 350's Alpha 1 out drives. where would i order the cables etc. Im new to the (fixing your own boat thing) but can do it myself if i understand whats going on!

Haha Thanks guys Appreciate all the help ahead of time

It's not that difficult to do if the inner cable is all that you need to replace.

Do yourself a favor. Replace all the cables. It is not hard but very time consuming. The #'s should be on the cables.

Not sure what you call warm - but it's 21 degrees this morning in the Ohio Valley - way too cold for me to get out and work on the boat! ha!

Get youself a pad of paper and write down the length (part number) of each cable and where it goes botth on the motor and on the throttle/shift box. Even a Digital pic of the shift box wouldn't hurt. You didn't mention what kind of shift box you have but generally take notice which cables are connected to which end of the lever. Handlinng the shift box and attaching the ends can be frustrating but doable. Check the cable ends, they don't come with the cables and make sure they are good and again where they go.
OOps assumed the long cables but if you are talking about the shift cable from the "Remote control" to the drive then that is a different story. Also get a peek at a manual at the Library for instructions how to preload the cables and attach the ends.
Have at it.
