Let me start out by saying this is on a 1991 Sunsation Rocket 24x7
To my knowledge, its original paint however the boat came from the factory...
Im getting some kind of flaking on the gelcoat or clear coat... Can anyone tell me which it is by looking at the photos?? All I can add other than the photos is that it is very thing....
I am thinking its probably clear coat though, and wondering if I'd be able to wet sand it, and then do some kind of compound/polish/wax to bring back the shine where it peeled off?
Any ideas/suggestions/comments welcomed!!
Thanks, Chris

It is just the clear, coming off. It can be blended, but will more then likely be noticeable. Prob best bet would be to have the entire side recleard. Just my op though.

Thanks for the reply Fenderjack... excuse my ignorance, but when you mention having it blended, Im presuming you mean having it clearcoated over the areas that are just peeling and blend it in??
Really dont want to just clear the whole boat as im not a huge fan of the graphics anyway... Probably just do a whole repaint if I had to do that! Lol

I'm guessing that he means like a spot repair. That's where you would set sand just the area's that are bad and reclear them. I have done many spot repairs and I dont like doing them at all. I am never happy with out come. If your unhappy with the graphic's now is the best time to repaint the boat. Good luck and if you have more questions I'd be more than happy to help you out.

Strip the hardware off that you can to save money, then have it shot with something up to date.
