Default Recent storms impact on Boating

Its tragic that there were so many nice boats destroyed in the recent east coast storm - But what do you guys think the effect on the boat/parts market will be?

Seems like there will be opportunity out there for those folks who part out salvage boats.

Could also mean opportunity for us consumers to get some nice items we couldnt normally afford. If the market gets flooded (absolutly no pun intended)

I would think that one might be able to score some deals on parts or fixer uppers in the future due to the storm losses. But from what I saw in the storm pics most were not of the hi perf genre. If you're looking for a sport fish or a center console you might be in luck.

Screwed up the fall for me. Don't remember seeing 29 degrees the 1st of Nov before.
Lots of parts should come up but buy at your own risk. Whole boats with damage but I bet you wont see as much as you would think. Clean up will mean crush and to the dump they will go.

Insurance companies are not going to total every boat. A lot are fixable.
