hey guys looking for some feedback, i picked up a large construction job and part of my scope of work is to remove waste....so close to me they are 2 diff trucks

1 is a 94 chevy with 6.5 diesel 4x4 with approx 91000 miles 11foot box

2nd is a 95 f350 gasser 351 2wd with around 50000 miles and an 8 foot box

the f350 is about 1500 cheaper, nice clean truck the chevy i havent seen yet

not to familiar with 6.5 tho are they good or bad...is the 4x4 that important for this application

if your n muddy areas then the 4x4 will come in handy..as for the 6.5 their are good ones and bad ones,with it being a 94 that is a bad year for them,,they had weak cooling systems and can run hot if you dont keep toyr eye on it but is upgradeable..i have been a 6.5 tech for many years and work on them all the time..ay 90 k its about ready for a injection pump and when doing it you need to relocate the FSD module and get it away from the heat with a 6' cxtension cord and a fsd cooler.. that ford is under powered with that 5.8 and thats where the 6.5 will shine with its power and fuel economy compared to the ford..you will most likely see 7 mpg with the ford as compared to 12 mpg with the chevy..

another big dif has nothing to do with make or engine; the 8 foot box is a LOT more trips back and forth. time, labor, fuel. they are all money. and you are buying it to make money...
