Friends and I have used the blue masking tape. I have used it on scoop intakes and on the leading edge of the cockpit cover to stop the wind from ballooning the cover.

When trailering long distances, I always tape mine up. I just use painters tape. I think its 3M. Nice thing is that it comes in different colors. I found some that somewhat matches the purple color of my cockpit cover, so you don't really see that it's taped.

Always used this when going a few hundred miles for poker runs. Would not leave it on for more than a week, but I have never had it come off even after 350 miles in the rain.

If you are short on time I have an extra roll.

I use 3M painters tape on front only. Helps keep dirt from blowing under.

As a shrink wrapper I use preservation tape from Buffalo shrink wrap. Sent a boat Buffalo to Califonia with shrink wrap edge taped all along bottom edge with no problems.
