Default mechanical trim indicator part needed...

I had a mechanical trim indicator given to me. Problem is it doesn't have the cylinder shaped part that bolts on the rod that goes through the hydraulic rams. Anyone have one? If I can make one on a lyhte are they made out of aluminum or stainless?

Don't have the part, but this should give you an idea how to make one or purchase:

Stainless, unless you use pretty thick aluminum.

The 'cup' is usually just a piece of stainless tube with a plate tack welded into one end. Probably cheaper going that route than machining a 2" chunk of stainless stock.

Worst case you could make one out of mild steel and paint it to use until you find one in stainless.

Did you check with Black Baja, maybe he has this part. You were working with him on the hatches.
