Anybody every use -18 AN steel braided line for cooling lines from thermostat housing to exhaust? If so, does it resist kinking more than standard rubber heater hose? Do the clamps fit on a normal merc thermostat housing without hitting the other hoses? Any pictures would be great.

Can it make this kind of bend like this hose on my stbd exhaust?
I have not purchased the hose yet. I was thinking Earls from summit, but it's kind of expensive.

My buddys is running -10an feeding his exhaust with some big power. I saw this and asked what his water psi is. 30psi was the answer. And I think his gauges only go to 30psi.
Trying to talk him into at least 1'' or -18an. If you measure a -10an fitting at the flare, I wanna say your about 9/16 id. No good. -16 about 7/8, -18 about 1'' and -20 about 1 1/8.
My stellings accept a 1'' hose, and have 1'' bypass hoses. No dumps off the rear of intake. At 90mph, water psi is about 15lbs. Engines run cool.
