My family lives on the Delaware river in Titusville NJ. After visiting there over the thanksgiving holidays my wife showed interest in moving to that area in the next couple years.

Trying to research the boating scene around that area. Coming from Louisiana were our boating season is practically all year long this might be a big decision for me/us.

Not sure what the Del River looks like above Trenton, but from Burlington, N.J. heading south you can run for miles with no problems. The farther south you go the less boat traffic you will encounter. Anything south of the Walt Whitman bridge is a nice ride all the way to the C@D Canal which takes you into the Chesapeake Bay. Chesapeake City is towards the end of the Canal and a good spot to stop for lunch dinner or whatever. I am talking about the Chesapeake Inn, nice spot and nice quaint little town. You come out of the Canal and you are in the north end of the bay, i can't begin to tell you about all the places you can run to in the Bay. Nauti Goose, Jelly Fish Joels, Red Eyes, Watermans, Skip Jack Marina are just a few. There are hundreds of spots you can run to and just throw out the anchor, bring you're lunch swim and make a day of it. We boat here from May into October. We had ten boats run down to the Chesapeake Inn Oct 10th of this year. If you have an e-maul address i will try to send you some pics of the area that we boat in.
