I have a set of Stern Driver props on my 32 Fever. I'm pretty sure these are factory Props. These props have Prop locks on them. The key would look like a deep dish socket with the shape of the nut that holds the prop on. My question is does anyone have an idea where I could find and buy this key.

Some types of these prop locks the buyer has to register w/ the manufacturer in order to get a new key if the original is lost. No two are alike and both of my outdrives have seperate keys. I would look for branding on the nut and call the manufacturer to see if they can help.

If it is the same as the one I am thinking of, my mechanic used to take another key for the same lock type, put it in and give it a descent smack with a hammer. He said it would pretty much fuse them together. This is easy in a marina when there are spare keys hanging around, but you could always buy a new one.
