Default -8 or -10?

For a merc engine with a oem style wet sump system, what size of AN line should be used for the oil lines?

While mine isn't a Merc cooler, I run the Eddie Marine, I run -12 hoses.

I just plumbed my eddie marine oil cooler with "twist lock" hose from russell. I got it from JEGS. Very easy to work with and it looks good. I ended up with a couple of Aeroquip fittings (the russell straight ends were out of stock), and if I had to do it again I'd go all aeroquip fittings. They're a little easier to work with.

Are you close to getting the boat wet? Bring it to Blarney Island so we can see your new beauty. At least if it sinks like the last boat it will stay about one foot out of the water.....I think it is about 2.5 feet deep there.

Getting close. I was hoping to take the day off tomorrow to hang the engine, but work constraints put the kabosh on that. I'll do it on saturday, but they're going to have a cow because I'm not in. Hopefully the dealer won't hit me with over time.

So brad-do you own a convertable yet?
