Question Info on fuel tank problems?????

I've been looking at possibly getting into a 26' AO and have read a few threads warning about leaking fuel tanks. Can anyone be more specific on what years and what symtoms to look for? I haven't decided on a boat nut any suggestions are much appreciated. Thanks

I have a 1998 3100...i know not a 26 but thought i'd chime in anyway.
My boat has 2- aluminum IMCO Style tanks with no issues what so ever.

Do some of the boats have glassed in tanks and are those the problematic models ?

Default Fuel tank issues

I have a 2007 3100 with fiberglass tanks, after some big air at Lake Mead, right side is now leaking. Not seeing any easy way to fix without cutting up the boat.
