Default donzi z-24 black widow

so ive been looking to upgrade from my scarab 22 that i restored to something a little larger with bigger power plant..

recently i got offered a deal on a donzi z24 black widow. long story short the guy is hurting for cash an had it up for $10,500. i lowballed him at $4000 knowing his situation. Yesterday i got a call and he accepted my offer..

how well are the boats built, its got a OMC drive which im not familiar with powered by a fresh 502 chevrolet. im not looking for speed but 70 would be nice, mostly looking for comfort an something better than the cuddy on my scarab 22.

any opinions or advice would be great. heres a few pics.

Any more of those laying around for $4,000? Looks like you got a great deal. I'm in the Donzi family but know nothing about that model so I'll wait for the experts to show up.

Its a nice boat OMC made two types of drives the Cobra and then I beleive the King Cobra drive as long as its the King cobra it shold handle the power. The hull I beleive is the same as the Z-25 but with a new deck. At that price with the trailer you shoudl have a fun boat once you go thru it good luck

Nice, unique boat. You may want to check out donzi.net . There are a bunch of posts over there talking about the 24 BW. Several members own or have owned them.

Hahaha if the boat runs you stole it. January 2nd and you might have the deal of the year well done. King Cobra is strong and same bolt pattern as the bravo (I think) so it's a solid option and if/when it blows up, just put int a B1!
