So, has anyone else noticed that Baja isn't mentioned this year as an APBA sponsor...They seemed to have become disassociated.

On a related note, I wonder how the Douglas Marine joint venture is going(or is it going)?

I see that Douglas Marine still has listed with APBA's homoligation a certain "Skater V 399 Race" entry for super vee...Is this supposed to be the Baja/Skater boat?

Hey BD, have you seen that skater with Baja on the side?? Its a full cat, kinda like the one with Fountain written on the side, you know? Anyway my mouth almost dropped when I saw that! It's just kinda wierd to see Baja on the side of a 46 skater....for many reasons So I'm thinking Baja and skater are still in dealings together on that boat. I hope so because the pics of that Skater laid up Baja were bad ass! I asked someone who's in the know about the Baja that is supposed to be laid up by Skater, so maybe I'll find something out about that. When I do I'll let cha know.

Thanks Tank. There are people that know what's going on...they just don't want to say. You know what I mean, they acknowledge knowing, but that's it...I guess that's a good thing, because if it was over(between the manufacturers), then the info would be all over the place.

Anyway, ya of course I've seen the Big Thunder Boat. That thing is absolutely amazing. I saw it race a time or two and it is every bit as incredible as it looks in the mags. 4 engines in that bad boy!!!!!

I believe that Skater is Big Thunder Marine from LOTO, and one of my buddies told me the Baja/ Skater deal was scrapped.

Guy's The Baja - Skater deal was scrapped because APBA said that any boats racing must be built by the company who's name is under and not by a third party, As far as Baja on the Skater one of the Baja big wigs was running the boat with Bob last season ,and Bob is a Baja dealer.

The last I heard on that cat was Big Thunder Marine is supposed to be one of the biggest Baja dealers. That is why Baja is on the side of a skater.


What I would like to know. What is up with Outlaw E, you know the outlaw 25 class. I haven't heard of anybody racing in that class.

It's a shame about the joint venture going south. It would have been interesting to see what they would have come up with.

And ya you guys are right about the big thunder skater....It's owned and operated by one of the nations biggest Baja Dealers, so the Baja decal is just that...an ad.

The "Skater built Baja" Is done in the mold...Theres no deck lid on it....Since Skater doesn't do deck molds it's hard to tell what the deal is with it...That's what I found out and can say
