Seems like it's been quite awhile since a Fountain sportboat saw the inside of the Miami Convention Center, http://speedonthewater.com/in-the-ne...-fountain.html.

I wish someone would buy Donzi and bring it back to life. Craig Barie at Donzi hinted they would have a boat in the water at the show. I do miss the big Donzi turnout like back in 08

There is a article where Baja mentioned that Donzi was last on the list and they are evaluating what to do. SO it does not need to get bought by someone else, just some time to figure out what the market needs.
Honestly no one is going to buy ANY of the outdated fountain or Donzi boats for the price they would cost new compared to the competition that has new designs. At least they are trying to update the Baja line, even though the stickers on some of the boats look lame! But we can all agree the Fountain and Donzi will need some money pumped into them, some updates and freshening to really be PROFITALBE. (good base to start with)
I bet if someone would have flashed some cash at Baja they would have already built a Fountain or Donzi.
Either way, its still really nice to hear they are bringing boats to Miami and trying to rebuild the 4 companys!

I've spoke directly with multiple ex Donzi guys (engineers, riggers, drivers, etc) who say they would never buy a new Donzi because most of the engineering and rigging talent didn't make the move to NC and now it's Fountain guys rigging Donzi boats that they are unfamiliar with. I absolutely love Donzis and hope they make a come back and get back to where they once were but in order for that to happen I think they need to be owned and operated independently and I'm not the only one that feels that way.

Lame is the understatement of the year for Baja------Looks like 10 year old drew the new plans for the boats !!As far as Donzi and Fountain are concerned ,they should have been first and second to be returned to the line..I guess I cant agree with you on the designs < Think the business is going to come back sooner than everyone thinks and Fountain and Donzi will always have that classic look like the Scarabs........ Too bad they all had to get pummeled by our economy,Any way last but not least Baja should have stayed with their older designs and put a new stepped bottom on the boat ......I dont understand what they were thinking-- crazy

There's not a lot of hardcore, "This what we are and are not going to do with each brand" stuff, but there is enough general/strategy information to make it interesting. When I spoke to Mr. Walker this morning, he didn't have a lot to update but I expected that. It's early in the season.
