After purchasing my 35' Cigarette I realized I'd want something a little smaller/econimical to run more often so searched around for a quite a while. I ended up finding a 88' Baja 240 sport that was well known around the Lanoka Harbor area of nj. The previous owner "Big Don" we called him was a great guy. He was well into his 70's and had owned the boat for about 15-20 years. It was always lift kept and extremely clean.
Don had 4 previous big blocks in the boat... originally the 454 then numerous others ranging from big HP 540ci's to 502ci. After blowing up 4 different motors from racing everyone under the sun... he decided to go with a fuel injected 350 mag. The boat is super reliable, runs well and is a perfect boat for what I use it for. I was surprised how much power the 350mag actually has... especially since the boat was originally equipped with the 454. I have considered doing a 502 but am not sure it'd be worth the time/money since I still have the 35' Cig as well.
Day one when we went and picked it up:

Then in after a buff... redid and painted the platform, all new stereo, and newer style baja decals.
