Smith Brothers Offshore Racing Team announced today that they will return to the Offshore Powerboat Association’s Amsoil Offshore Powerboat Racing Series in 2013. The team will again field the Joker Powerboats/CRC boat in Class 6 competition. “We are looking forward to getting back on the water with the Offshore Powerboat Association,” said team driver Pete Smith. “This will be our 6th year racing in their series and we can’t wait for the first event.” The team remains unchanged from their first race six years ago. Pete Smith is the driver with brother Rich Smith the throttleman. Crew Chief and engine builder Bud Wilson returns for his 25th year working with the team. (The team has a long involvement in sports car racing).
The 2009 Championship winning team will again retain sponsorship from CRC Industries, a worldwide manufacturer of automotive and marine chemicals.
